原鎂及鎂合金的的應用廣泛。原鎂主要用于煉鋼脫硫、稀土合金、金屬還原、腐蝕保護等；鎂合金廣泛應用于交通運輸，電子工業，醫療領域，軍事工業等。其中高鐵、汽車、自行車、航空航天、建筑裝飾、醫療康復器械、電子產品的零部件等領域應用前景好、潛力大，已經成為未來新型材料的發展方向之一。
我公司的金屬鎂項目為經新疆生產建設兵團十三師發改委批準的鎂基新材料循環經濟一體化項目其中之一。本項目的主要優勢是“資源綜合循環利用型”：蘭炭車間產生的煤氣作為金屬鎂廠的燃料，金屬鎂提煉產生的廢料還原渣用于水泥生產（鄰廠南崗建材全部回收利用），最終形成綜合循環利用發展模式，達到環境保護與廢氣、廢物再利用的雙重目標。

Among them, high-speed rail, automobiles, bicycles, aerospace, architectural decoration, medical rehabilitation equipment, components of electronic products and other fields have good prospects and great potential, and have become one of the development directions of new materials in the future.
Our company's metal magnesium project is approved by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps 13th Division Development and Reform Commission "15,000 tons/year metal magnesium and supporting 600,000 tons/year orchid carbon comprehensive utilization project". The total investment of the project is 450 million yuan and the project covers an area of 510 mu. The main advantage of this project is "comprehensive recycling of resources" : the gas produced in the Lantan workshop is used as fuel for the magnesium metal plant, and the waste reduction slag generated from the magnesium metal refining is used for cement production (the neighboring factory Nangang building materials are all recycled), and the comprehensive recycling development model is finally formed to achieve the dual goals of environmental protection and waste gas and waste reuse. It can reduce solid waste emissions by 80,000 tons per year, save 80,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide by 210,000 tons, which has made great contributions to the healthy development of regional economy.
